REGISTRATION
With my industry pass do I have access to all three events (JFL’s, Just Comedy and The Just For Laughs Film Event)?
Yes, registration gives you limited access to JFL shows, all access to Just Comedy and The Just For Laughs Film Event, as well as other festival programming including VIP areas and industry parties.
I have not received a confirmation letter, what should I do?
If you registered more than 2 business days ago, please contact us by email at registration@achillesmedia.com.
I registered for Just Comedy 2008, but now can't attend. Can I send someone in my place?

Can I buy a registration on site?
Yes, full and daily registrations are available on site from July 10-18, 2008 from the registration desk located off the main lobby of the Hyatt Regency Montreal:

I can only attend the conference for one-day, is there a reduced registration fee?
Yes, you can attend either day of the conference for the early bird rate of $400
I can’t make it until the day of the event so how do I register?
When you arrive please go to the registration desk located off the main lobby of the Hyatt Regency Hotel Montreal.
I forgot my password to login to my profile?
If you have forgotten your password please email us at registration@achillesmedia.com. We will send your password by email by the end of the next business day.

Do I have to sign up for specific sessions?
No, only the face-to-face or decision maker sessions require you to sign up in advance
When can I go online to book a face to face with senior executives?
Email blasts will be sent out to delegates on an on-going basis detailing face-to-face sessions. Alternatively, you can regularly check on the site for updates.
Can I nominate someone for an award?
No, award recipients are predetermined by a committee.
How do I become a panelist?
Please contact Ravi Sidhu at rsidhu@achillesmedia.com to discuss what you have to offer and your area of expertise.

Will there be a contact list of delegates provided?
A list of delegates along with contact information will be provided to everyone attending the conference. If you do not want to distribute your contact information please email registration@achillesmedia.com
How many people are attending this conference?
Because this is an inaugural conference, we cannot provide attendance numbers from previous years. That being said we are expecting to have over 300 industry professionals over the two-day conference alone.
When will the keynote speaker and master class instructors be announced?
The initial schedule including speakers and instructors will be announced on an ongoing basis. Please check the website regularly for updates.

SOCIAL EVENTS
Do I need to bring my badge to social events?
All delegates must wear their badge to all social events, or entry will be denied; guests must present their tickets. Social events are reserved for registered delegates and accompanying guests only.
What do I wear to social events?
Casual attire unless otherwise specified.
Does my badge give me access to any JFL shows?
Registration gives you standing room access for certain venues depending on capacity. For a list of these venues click here.
How do I ensure I get to go to my preferred shows/screenings?
If there is a show you really want to see we strongly recommend that you purchase tickets as standing room access is not guaranteed for any show.
Is any transportation provided to shows or social events?
With an industry pass you can take advantage of our limited shuttle service. This shuttle will travel between the Hyatt Regency Hotel and specified venues and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will do our best to accommodate everyone, however, we do not guarantee space and availability.

Is internet available?
All guest rooms, meeting and conference rooms and public areas have free high speed wireless internet access for conference delegates who booked their stay using the industry code provided.
I need to have something sent to me at the Conference Centre, how do I do this?

Do I have to stay at the hotel? Is this a preferred rate?
It is not mandatory that you stay at the Hyatt Regency Montreal. If you prefer to stay somewhere else you still have access to all conference activities taking place at the hotel.

Will there be business services available?
The Hyatt Regency Business Centre is located in the lobby beside the Front Desk, and is open 24 hours a day. Services available include:
- Computer workstation with high-speed Internet access
- Laser printer
- Phone
- Fax and photocopy services are available, through the concierge.
Who do I contact if I encounter any problems during the conference?
On-site staff will be available throughout the conference to assist you with any problems pertaining to the conference. If you have concerns regarding your accommodation please contact the hotel directly.
MISCELLANEOUS
I'd like to bring my family. What activities are there to do in Montreal?
Montreal is a unique destination with historic architecture, international cuisine, great outdoor activities and renowned nightlife. Visit www.tourisme-montreal.org for information on available activities.
Is it a problem that I don’t speak French?
No not at all. Programming at Just Comedy will be offered in both French and English, however, the majority of the sessions will be in English.
I am staying longer than the duration of the conference, can I extend my hotel reservations?

What is the GST (Goods and Services Tax) and PST (Provincial Services Tax)?
Canada imposes a 5% sales tax on all goods and services purchased in Canada.
Quebec imposes a 7.5% sales tax on all goods and services purchased in the province.
Is this conference open to the public?
No, this conference is catered for those individuals in the comedy industry. This includes broadcasters, agents, talent books, producers, digital content and delivery executives, writers, financiers, comedians, and managers.

How do I get to the hotel from the airport?
Take advantage of our pick-up and drop off service to and from Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport provided we receive your flight itinerary at least 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival in Montreal.
